This article contains information for software resellers who are seeking to purchase Viscosity on behalf of a customer. If you are seeking to purchase Viscosity for yourself or your own company, please see the Purchasing Viscosity article instead.

Software resellers can purchase Viscosity licenses using our online store. Please see the following sections for information on how to generate a quote, make purchases, and for commonly requested details.

Generating a Quote

Before generating a quote, please check with the end-user whether they are seeking a new Viscosity license, or if they are extending (adding seats) to an existing Viscosity volume license.

New License

If the end-user is seeking a new license, a formal quote can be instantly generated using the Quotation page. This page will automatically apply a volume discount. As a reseller, the end-user's information should be entered into the "License To" section, while the reseller's billing details should be entered into the "Billing Information" section.

Upgrade Existing License

If the end-user is seeking an extension (or platform upgrade) to an existing volume license, a quote can be generated using the Upgrade section. This section will automatically apply a volume discount. You will need the end-user's existing Viscosity license information before proceeding. To generate the quote:

1. Visit the Upgrade section and enter the end-user's license details.
2. Click the "Extend License" button (or Platform Upgrade button for a cross-platform upgrade).
3. Enter the number of additional seats required (please note the 5-seat minimum).
4. Enter the reseller's billing details in the "Billing Information" section.
5. Click the "Download Quote" button link at the bottom of the "Billing Information" section.
6. The page can be closed. There is no need to enter any payment information.

Making a Purchase

Before making a purchase, please check with the end-user whether they are seeking a new Viscosity license, or if they are extending (adding seats) to an existing Viscosity volume license.

New License

For a new license, the purchase can be made using our online store. This store will automatically apply a volume discount. As a reseller, please ensure that the "This purchase is a gift" option is ticked when using our online store. This option is available in the License To section, under the Email field. It will allow separate License and Billing information to be entered. The end-user's information should be entered into the "License To" section, while the reseller's billing details should be entered into the "Billing Information" section.

You can also customise which email address the License Email (which contains the serial number and information necessary to register Viscosity) is sent to using the "Send License email to" option. The receipt email will always be sent to the Billing email address.

Upgrade Existing License

For an extension (or platform upgrade) to an existing volume license, the purchase can be made using the Upgrade section. This section will automatically apply a volume discount. You will need the end-user's existing Viscosity license information before proceeding. To make the purchase:

1. Visit the Upgrade section and enter the end-user's license details.
2. Click the "Extend License" button (or Platform Upgrade button for a cross-platform upgrade).
3. Enter the number of additional seats required (please note the 5-seat minimum).
4. Enter the reseller's billing details in the "Billing Information" section.
5. Select a Payment Method and enter the payment information.
6. Click the Make Payment button.

An updated license email will be sent to email address associated with the license (which in most instances will be the end-user's email address). A receipt email will be sent to the email address entered into the Billing Information section.

Downloading an Invoice

After making a purchase, an invoice can be optionally downloaded for your records. This can be downloaded from the View Invoice page. Please see Downloading An Invoice for more information.

Purchase Orders

Sadly, we can't accept purchase orders from resellers for orders below 100 seats/licenses. For orders below this volume the instructions above can be used to instantly purchase Viscosity.

For orders that meet this volume requirement we still recommend using the instructions above, however if you'd prefer to purchase via a Purchase Order you can send one to our support email address listed on our Support page. Please allow up to several business days for processing.

We do not offer credit terms for purchases: license details are sent immediately and automatically upon payment.

Available Discounts

Our online store will automatically apply volume discounts (starting at 5 seats, with the discount level increasing with volume). Further "reseller discounts" are not available. For more information on volume discounts please see the Available Discounts section at Purchasing Viscosity.

Sadly we cannot complete "vendor forms" or "supplier forms". Our company information, including mailing address details and business/tax numbers, can be found near the bottom of the Company section of our website. Viscosity's EULA can be found in the Legal section.
