Single Adapter Mode (Windows)
Enabling Single Adapter Mode will cause all connections from that point on to share a single Viscosity Virtual Adapter when connecting. Any connections that have already created their own adapter will continue to use their own adapter and manage it separately.
Single Adapter Mode can be enabled by ticking "Use single network adapter for all connections" in Preferences -> Advanced.
The advantages of this is that connections will no longer have to create an adapter before they connect, and only a single Viscosity Virtual Adapter needs to exist for all of your connections.
The disadvantages are only one connection can be active at a time (unless the second connection has and manages its own adapter). It will also mean that you cannot modify the adapter manually as its settings will be cleared each time you connect in anticipation of a new connection with different settings.
If you wish for a new connection to use its own adapter, simply untick "Use single network adapter for all connections" and import the new connection, or for an existing connection, untick "Use single network adapter for all connections", edit the existing connection, go to the Advanced tab and remove the 'dev-node' command. Save the connection and then connect, a new adapter will be created just for this connection. Once the adapter is created, you can tick "Use single network adapter for all connections" once more.
