Unable to execute file: ViscosityService.exe

Several of our users have been receiving this error since March.
I received it today on a new laptop I am setting up.
I downloaded the latest Viscosity build and installed it on a new laptop running Windows 10 20H2 (direct from Dell).
I know other systems we're experiencing the issue on are also running Windows 10. We're not experiencing it on our Windows 11 systems, as far as I know.
For the users that have emailed me asking for help, their setup were upgrade installs. Viscosity prompted to install an update (1.9.x to 1.10.x). There was an error during the file copy process, then Viscosity failed to work.
The fix is to download the "legacy" version 1.9.4.
1) 1.10.x Installer runs
2) Starts copying files
3) Displays this error:
Installing 1.9.4 copies the file just fine, and runs without error.
If we install 1.10.2 over 1.9.4, the "ViscosityService.exe" file is deleted, and we get the same error as above.
The only "solution" we have is to uninstall 1.10.2, reinstall 1.9.4, and turn off update checks. We simply cannot move past 1.9.4 on our Windows 10 systems.
I was surprised to not see it mentioned in the forums, since I've now see this issue on multiple systems. Has no one else seen this error?

Indeed, there is no file there by that name. Unable to execute file:
C:\Program Files\Viscosity\ViscosityService.exe
CreateProcess failed; code 2.
The system cannot find the file specified.

Hi Xenomorph,
I'm afraid we've never had an issue like this reported before so it is most likely specific to your environment. It sounds like AV is quarantining the file as it is being written by the installer.
If you uninstall 1.9.4 and then download and install the latest version from our website, does the same issue occur?
