Hi,

Using the Spark Labs client and setting the DNS servers within the client does not work. Using DNS Leak test shows my ISPs DNS servers instead of the ones I have set within the client. Furthermore inserting the DNS Leak up/down scripts into the client does not work.

How do I fix this issue?

Hi Reitou223,

Unfortunately this is a problem with Windows we are still trying to find a clean solution to. The easiest way to get this working at the moment will be to get those scripts working. Assuming you are using the .vbs scripts and not the .bat scripts, there is a bug in the current release version that will be causing issues, please try the beta available here - http://sparklabs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=482

Also, those scripts will require Admin rights, which means you will need to start Viscosity with Administrator Rights (By right clicking your Viscosity shortcut and selecting "Run as Administrator").

Let us know if this helps. We are intending to find a solution to this particular issue before the next release and should be available as a beta soon.

Regards,

Eric

Would setting my DNS settings in my router and windows network connection solve the problem for now?

Hi Reitou223,

Setting a static DNS (to Google's for example, 8.8.8.8) should solve the problem, you should only have to do it for your primary Network Connection in Windows.
