Greetings,
Viscosity seems quite a useful application, polished and well done, but before evaluating Viscosity I'd like to see a complete list of uninstalling instructions (I like to keep the system clean).
If one ever want to uninstall Viscosity, other than trashing:
Thanks for your time and for Viscosity.

- ~/Library/Preferences/com.viscosityvpn.Viscosity.plist;

- the app itself;
- the tun and tap kexts;

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
Another question, if it's too much: the FAQ say Viscosity needs administration rights to install the tun & tap kexts and "set the correct permissions on OpenVPN and support files". I wonder if the affected directories/files are just the one to trash when uninstalling Viscosity.

When Viscosity seeks administration rights it installs the tun/tap drivers and startup items, and changes the permissions on files inside the Application itself (in Viscosity.app/Contents/Resources). Trashing the Viscosity application and tun/tap files trashes everything that was changed.

Hi yuzz,
The TUN/TAP drivers are contained inside Viscosity itself. Quitting Viscosity and moving it to the trash deletes both the Viscosity application and the TUN/TAP drivers.
You can find instructions on how to uninstall Viscosity at:

Are there any further instructions for removing Viscosity under OSX 10.7.2 Lion, as the following folders no longer exist:
~/Library/Preferences/com.viscosityvpn.Viscosity.plist;
~/Library/Application Support/Viscosity;
Each time I uninstall Viscosity, then reinstall it seems to remember my registration details and my VPN connections. I want a clean and complete uninstall if possible.
[EDIT] Seems like I forgot that Lion hides the Library folder - found it in Finder using the Go To command... Voila
