Hi,

I'm running proxyman/charles sporadically on my machine, in the documentation I read I needed to add the following line in the advanced tab

#viscosity proxy-https localhost 9090

This works great, but as soon as I shut down charles or proxyman, nothing works anymore. I wanted to remove this line again from the advanced tab, but it's no longer there.

How can I reset the above command?

Thanks

James

Hi dikkeduif,

The advanced proxy commands will not show up in the editor once added to a connection, however it's possible to remove them by directly editing the configuration for your connection using a text editor.

To do this, go to "Your Home Folder/Library/Application Support/Viscosity" in the Finder. You should see a number of entries, once for each connection. Find the one for your connection, and open the config.conf file with TextEdit. You can do this by right-clicking (or holding down control and clicking) on the file, and selecting Open With > Other... and selecting the Text Edit application. Remove the command/s, and then click Save. You'll need to Quit and re-open Viscosity for it to see the changes.

macOS contains two Library folders: a global one on your system drive and one in your Home folder. When accessing the above paths please make sure you are going through the Library folder in your Home folder, rather than the global Library folder.

The Library folder is hidden under modern versions of macOS. To get to it you'll need to open the "Go" menu in the Finder while holding down the Option key on your keyboard and click the Library item. Your Library folder will open.

Cheers,
James
