The reason I'm using a VPN at all is to permit access to a special remote IP, for one user, for one application. Unfortunately, once I run Viscosity, it forces macOS to use the VPN for all IPs, for all users, for all applications.

I understand that I can limit a Viscosity connection to only use the VPN for a specific IP or IP range. However, there are no instructions for this, and all the online help I've found doesn't work.

What do I fill in for the attached Preferences menu?

Hi dkremer,

The OpenVPN server you're connecting to is likely pushing the "redirect-gateway" command, which routes all network traffic into the VPN connection by default. You can find some information on how to ignore this on Viscosity's end (so your normal network connection will be used by default while connected) at:
https://www.sparklabs.com/support/kb/ar ... connection

You can then just route your desired destination IP address through the VPN connection. Documentation for using Viscosity's routing functionality can be found at:

Cheers,
