Hi corallibra, Viscosity will display this error message if it is unable to start OpenVPN with your configuration. This means there could be an issue with the OpenVPN binary, or a problem with your configuration. Typically if there is a problem with your configuration you should see a message above ...

It appears you are connecting to an OpenVPN Access Server - try using the latest beta version of Viscosity (1.2b4 at the time of writing) which has greatly improved OpenVPN-AS support. You can download it at: http://www.sparklabs.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?p=134#p134 If that still doesn't work, try ...

Hi Will, Well I'm not a Chrome user, however if it uses the System Proxy like Safari does, you could pull off what you want like so: 1. Create two Network Locations in the Network section of System Preferences. Call one "Normal" that doesn't have a proxy configured, and other called "...

Hi Olivier, Thanks for the feedback. We are definitely looking at adding the ability to run actions on more events, so it's something you should see if a future version. In the meantime a workaround could be to write an AppleScript script that first runs your own code, and then tells Viscosity to co...

Hi winglet, Try having a run through the troubleshooting information listed on the page below. It's a little perplexing that it is intermittent, so I'm not sure how much it will help, but see how it goes: http://www.sparklabs.com.au/support/losing_network_connectivity_on/ And as tom points out above...

Thanks for the feedback. It looks like Viscosity didn't correctly upgrade the old connection order to the new format correctly. I'll look into it. In the meantime deleting Viscosity's prefs file, or running the following command in the Terminal, should get you going again: defaults delete com.viscos...

Hi badlydrawntoy, How do you get on if you manually increase the time before routes are added? You can do this like so: 1. Edit your connection in Viscosity 2. Click on the Advanced tab 3. Add the command "route-delay 30" on a new line in the commands section. You can replace 30 with diffe...

OK, then I should probably start doing this instead of using the name directly, right? Ideally, yes. Is that a bad idea? I mean, do you anticipate any changes to the directory layout or config file metadata comments in the foreseeable future? It's not pretty, but if it works, it works! :) No change...

Hi Skurfer, The old connect/disconnect functions reference directly by name, which isn't a nice way of doing things. We've kept them around for backwards compatibility, but also introduced the ability to get a list of all connections (a list of connection objects). You could loop through this list t...
