Hi hub3rt, You are correct, all you need to do is tick the Send all traffic over VPN option, then create some routes in the box below where the route is the IP of the website/server you don't want going through the VPN, Mask is 255.255.255.255 and gateway is net_gateway/Local Network Gateway. A defa...

Hi ivanpedruzzi, You can increase the verbosity by adding verb 5 to the advanced section of your configuration, though it won't give you any more details about this problem. The server is rejecting your client certificate most likely because the certificate has expired. If you control this server, y...

Hi Gabisonfire, Viscosity will have no effect on your whole home network, only on the computer it is used on. The only setup you need to do is to setup port forwarding on your home router so incoming requests to your ISP IP address will hit your NAS, that's it, your VPN plays no part in a setup like...

Hi RaidX, I'm afraid we're not aware of any bugs like this. Are you able to email us a copy of your Settings.xml file, located at C:\Users\<you>\Appdata\Roaming\Viscosity, to email so we can have a look to see if something is going wrong. https://www.sparklabs.com/support/#contact Regards, Eric

Hi Gabisonfire, So your home computer is permanently connected to your VPN Provider, and you want to access your FTP server via your VPN Provider? If this is the case, you will need to speak to your VPN Provider. Your first challenge is going to be routing these requests through their network. Even ...

Hi Gabisonfire,
I'd just like to confirm a few details as I'm not 100% sure from your post:
You run your own OpenVPN server at home?
You VPN into this server when you are away from home and you are unable to access your NAS FTP server which is on the same network as your VPN Server?
Regards,
Eric

Hi astoshevs, We've seen this once before with SCCM but I'm afraid we never got to the bottom of it as the problem doesn't occur with GPO deployments and we know of other SCCM users that haven't had any issues. Viscosity runs a shell to install and install the service during the installer, our only ...

Hi jlindblad, Unfortunately Viscosity (or any VPN) can't be set as a local proxy, but please take a look at the following article about preventing network leaks - http://www.sparklabs.com/support/preventing_network_and_dns_traffic_leaks/ Also you may wish to get to the bottom of your disconnects. Yo...

Hi jrussell, OpenVPN connections require at least a shared secret key or a CA certificate so the client can identify the server it is connecting to. This is a minimum requirement of OpenVPN. Your current connection will require this. Most likely your current configuration file has a CA or Secret emb...
