Hi Stephan, We've only ever had a few reports from users experiencing trouble connecting through a UMTS/3G connection, and in each instance it has been down to the USB dongle drivers and/or the bundled/connection software (launch2net has cropped up as the cause a couple of times). It's possible that...

Hi funtus, Viscosity has been extensively tested with Mac OS 10.6.3 and there are no known issues. I'd recommend checking both the OpenVPN Log for your connection, along with the Console, to see if there are any error messages or warnings indicating what the problem may be. You can bring up the Open...

Hi Dan, Viscosity is software that allows you to connect to a VPN server running OpenVPN. However Viscosity itself is not a VPN service provider, it allows you to connect to a VPN provider. Your VPN provider may be a 3rd party VPN provider, your workplace, or a VPN server you have setup yourself. Fo...

Hi Ivars, It looks like everything is authenticating fine, so I don't think this issue is directly related to PKCS11. My first suspicion would be that the extra delay caused by the PKCS11 authentication is bringing out another problem. Does increasing the "route-delay" value (to say 30) ma...

Hi Yeraze, We're planning on implementing this feature in a future version of Viscosity. However we're going to do it properly (at the kernel level), so it is still a while away. In the meantime, you could achieve this by using your own custom up/down scripts, or possibly by setting a manual default...

Hi Philip, Viscosity should automatically detect Tunnelblick connections and ask if you'd like to import them the first time it is run. However version 3.0 of Tunnelblick moved the location where it stores its config files, and version 1.0.9 of Viscosity still looks in the old location when trying t...

Hi nycvelo,

You'll need to add the cipher command yourself to the Advanced commands section (the text field under the Advanced tab when editing your connection in Viscosity). Add a command like so on a new line:

cipher AES-128-CBC

Hi dreamcat4, Viscosity is not capable of doing that by itself. You may be able to find some tricky firewall software that could pull it off. Otherwise if you want to go down the proxy route you could setup applications to use a SOCKS proxy, and then create a route in Viscosity that directs all traf...

Hi Dun, Now, after reinstalling and putting snow leopard, if I use the same connection, everything works nice for 10 seconds. Afterward, the default route (sudo route get default) loses the ip address, even though the interface (tap0) is still there. This is commonly caused by having the "Enabl...
