Hi Donn, I must have misunderstood you before, is pressing disconnect in Viscosity doing nothing? It will take 5-10 seconds for the disconnect to happen under this situation as there is a large amount of information being processed because of the high verb setting. Have you rebooted your computer be...

Hi Donn, Please try grabbing and installing the latest latest beta from here - http://www.sparklabs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=482 Once installed, force OpenVPN to 2.3 from the Advanced tab of Preferences and try to connect again. This will force to the latest version of OpenVPN you seem to b...

Hi jumper, Unfortunately application routing isn't something Viscosity can do at present. We would recommend routing all traffic over your VPN. To do this, edit your connection and go to the Networking tab, tick "Send all traffic over VPN connection" and Save the connection then reconnect....

Hi Donn, This will be an issue at your VPN Providers end terminating then rejecting your session. I would recommend awaiting their reply. It is possible though that either your router or your ISP is interrupting the connection, though unlikely. As for the reconnect failing, this could be caused by A...

Hi Donn,
When you add a new route, you need to enter the IP as the ip, the Mask as 255.255.255.255 and select "Local Network Gateway" as the Gateway, you can leave Metric blank. You will need to do this for each IP you want to route through your local connections.
Regards,
Eric

Hi Donn, I've actually never seen that one before. Viscosity itself doesn't need to be run with Administrator rights, it's ViscosityService.exe (which runs as SYSTEM) that needs elevated permissions to make sure everything is run correctly. It might be worth quickly checking with your organisations ...

Hi Donn, It would appear your work computer has some firewall or AV software that is interfering with the Network Interface Viscosity uses to maintain your connection, this is apparent from the line showing that dhcp is failing: Initialization Sequence Completed With Errors ( see http://openvpn.net/...

Hi thommas,
Your Ethernet adapter has to be enabled as OpenVPN still needs to send your encrypted traffic through it. As long as the "Send all traffic over VPN connection" check box is ticked in the Networking tab when you edit your connection, you should be fine.
Regards,
Eric
