Just a quick update: Growl notifications should now be working under Snow Leopard with the latest beta build (1.0.6b7 at the time of writing). It can be downloaded at:

Growl messages should now be working under Snow Leopard, and the Time Machine option should correctly disable/enable Time Machine under Snow Leopard again. Some Problems in the beta...Make sure you are running Viscosity from your Applications folder. This error will appear if you are running Viscosity from your Downloads folder, or from anywhere in your Home folder if you have FileVault turned on.

Yep, that should do the trick. TAP devices are more like standard Ethernet devices and allow multicast traffic through (so bonjour and service discovery should work).
