Hi eddywang, Viscosity will automatically detect if your proxy server requires a username and password when you try and connect. If it does, Viscosity will ask you for them. You can either enter your username and password every time you try and connect, or save your details into the Keychain. Cheers...

Hi Andrea, If you can't ping machines through the VPN connection by their IP address, then you probably have a routing issue on your hands. Alternatively the server isn't set up correctly (i.e. using NAT or a bridged connection). You can try reading the following FAQ entry for some suggestions: http...

Hi Wim, OpenVPN may be trying to add the route before the network interface is ready. How do you get on if you add a route delay like so? 1. Edit your connection in Viscosity 2. Click on the Advanced tab 3. Add the command "route-delay 20" on a new line in the commands section. You can rep...

Hi Stephan, We've only ever had a few reports from users experiencing trouble connecting through a UMTS/3G connection, and in each instance it has been down to the USB dongle drivers and/or the bundled/connection software (launch2net has cropped up as the cause a couple of times). It's possible that...

Hi funtus, Viscosity has been extensively tested with Mac OS 10.6.3 and there are no known issues. I'd recommend checking both the OpenVPN Log for your connection, along with the Console, to see if there are any error messages or warnings indicating what the problem may be. You can bring up the Open...

Hi Dan, Viscosity is software that allows you to connect to a VPN server running OpenVPN. However Viscosity itself is not a VPN service provider, it allows you to connect to a VPN provider. Your VPN provider may be a 3rd party VPN provider, your workplace, or a VPN server you have setup yourself. Fo...

Hi Ivars, It looks like everything is authenticating fine, so I don't think this issue is directly related to PKCS11. My first suspicion would be that the extra delay caused by the PKCS11 authentication is bringing out another problem. Does increasing the "route-delay" value (to say 30) ma...
