Matt,

I've missunderstood you there. That warning is perfectly normal and will appear all the time.

Viscosity Windows is still running OpenVPN 2.1, version 1.3 will be upgraded to OpenVPN 2.2 and is the next addition to the current beta located here.

Cheers,

Eric

Hi Matt, With the problem of the service not starting on reboot, if you go to Services, right click Viscosity Service then select Properties, go to the Recovery Tab, then change the "First Failure" drop down box to "Restart the Service", this seems to fix that problem. There is a service on some com...

Hi Matt, If you were to import the connection, does Viscosity ever create an adapter or are you saying that this is where it is getting stuck? It does sometimes take a minute. There may have been a problem before you did the reinstall, have you allowed Viscosity to try and create an adapter since yo...

Hi mjb, There is something either stopping the Viscosity Service from running, or blocking communication to it. Do you get a notice when you start Viscosity that it is unable to communicate with the service? Can you try turning off any firewalls or anti virus software you have running and try again....

Thanks for the reply, mjb. Can I get you to edit the connection you are trying to use, go to the Advanced tab, and tick the box that says "Don't create a network adapter for this connection". The connection will then use the adapter created before when you ran that test program. Click save then try ...

Hi Dave, I'm assuming your test account credentials are still valid, as if they are not, Viscosity should detect this and clear what's saved then prompt you for new credentials. To delete what credentials you have saved, close Viscosity, then go to C:\Users\<Your Username>\AppData\Roaming\Viscosity ...

Hi mjb, It's getting stuck trying to create a network adapter for that connection. When Viscosity was installed, did you click "Continue Anyway" to the prompt asking to install the drivers for the Viscosity Virtual Adapter? Then when you go to quit, Viscosity waits to make sure everything closes dow...

Now that makes things a bit more interesting. The only reason a password request should pop up is because OpenVPN is asking for it. Are you sure you didn't generate it wanting a password? Can you check your Mac keychain just to double check there isnt a password for that file already saved. Beta ver...
