Hi SallyOh,

Have you contacted iPredator about this? Most VPN Providers have maximum session times or idle time-outs which might be kicking you off.

Yes, I have and they got me back online. The problem is with Viscosity.

SINCE THE LAST VISCOSITY UPDATE (critical information in all caps), when my computer starts up and Skype won't connect, I have to go to internet connections and DISABLE the Viscosity connection. After which, Skype connects immediately (which means I'm online). I then go to my programs and start up Viscosity and I can get online.

I have NEVER, in a year, been kicked off iPredator in a timeout. I stay connected all day, no problem. I work online but even when I'm gone for a day, when I get home, I'm still connected.

This problem arose AFTER THE LAST VISCOSITY UPDATE. Since iPredator helped me change my settings, I stay connected most of the time. Some days, I have to either get off my VPN altogether because I can't stay connected or keep re-connecting. This is only SINCE THE LAST UPDATE.

I like Viscosity because it's simple for us non-techies to use (except in this situation) and I was good about paying for it. But it's now making my work life difficult. I don't want to think about this or have to adjust this every few days.

Am I the only one having this problem?

Hi SallyOh,

Nothing like this has been reported about the latest update, and there has been no changes to Viscosity which would cause this problem. If you would like, we are happy to send you a link and information to downgrade Viscosity and see if it solves the problem you are facing. If you would like to do so, please send us an email, and we can send along the relevant information.
