Hello

I'm running Viscosity 1.4.5 (1203). It's generally working well, but yesterday I left my computer on until it went into sleep mode. When the computer came back from sleep I disconnected the VPN. Then a few minutes later I tried to connect again. It claimed that the username/password was incorrect and prompted for the login credentials with a blank login box.

Why does Viscosity "forget" what I asked it to remember? Is this bug?

Hi stripecat,

Are you able to replicate this behaviour? Are you also sure that you reconnected to the same connection and ticked the box to save your credentials? If you do experience the problem again, you may wish to try the latest beta, a very minor password bug was fixed in this beta that might solve the problem you are facing if it reoccurs. You can grab the beta here - http://www.sparklabs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=482

If you can reliably reproduce the bug, please let us know the steps you take and we'll definitely look into it.

Regards,

Eric

Hello,

Suddenly, Viscosity does not recognise my password and/or user name. I have tried most of the recommendations I could find on this board, yet to no avail.

How can I reset the password?

Why did Viscosity suddenly forget it/them in the first place?

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks
S4L

Hi S4L,

It sounds like your VPN Provider is rejecting your login, you will need to contact them. If you're unsure who your VPN Provider is, please see the following - http://sparklabs.com/support/how_do_i_f ... _my_vpn_p/
