but in that case, it would be nice if you - in addition to listing the connection quality in the server list - listed the details of the connection quality (latency, dropped packets, etc) in the detail window.

ssh-tunneling and pptp

it would be nice if viscosity got support several different types of connections..
at the moment I am running shimo (can only do one connection at the time, and have bad support for openvpn) for a ssh-tunnel and viscosity for vpn.
also, a function that would ping every connection and list responsetime in the connectionlist would be nice (optionable, of course).

We were thinking about having a "Connection Quality" measure (perhaps color coded or a percentage) that takes into account latency, amount of packets being dropped, etc. Would this be useful to you instead/as well?

it would also be terribly useful with a function that would allow the user to run a customized applescript upon connection/disconnection. this would allow me to for example quit all applications if the vpn-connection should suddenly fail, preventing any securityrisks this might cause. The applications could then be automatically reopened once the connection is reestablished. Shimo has this feature, and it has proven quite useful (I don't mean to say that Shimo is in any way better than viscosity - if it were, I'd be using Shimo, not viscosity - but it has a few useful features, like this-one).
how about a "features to come"-post something like that (or perhaps a "features we might add"-poll)?Well normally we'd be using Trac, which would allow us to easily display current issues and feature requests. However we've been giving Redmine a try for Viscosity, which doesn't appear to allow public pages easily. However it's on the To Do list.
