Hi James,

I would like to use multiple DNS domains together with the DNS alternative support to enable me to only resolve vpn domains via the remote vpn pushed DNS and continue to resolve all other domains via my standard DNS.
Using the remote DNS only really slows down things.

Any way to accomplish that ?

Search order should be:
DOMAIN novpn.com SERVER 1.1.1.1

from the VPN dhcp push DOMAIN:
DOMAIN 1.vpn.com SERVER 2.2.2.2
DOMAIN 2.vpn.com SERVER 2.2.2.2

Ollie.

Hi Ollie,

We're looking at including advanced DNS support like this in version 1.1 of Viscosity (or possibly 1.2), however in the meantime the only way to be able to do it would be to write your own custom up/down scripts to use Mac OS X's resolver system (which is capable of this). You can find some more information about writing your down up/down scripts on this forum and on the OpenVPN site.

Cheers,
James
