Hi Oleksii, You can't specify the username and password on the command line, however you can specify them in a Before Connect script. For more information please see: https://www.sparklabs.com/support/kb/article/running-applescripts-when-connected-disconnected/#setting-pre-connection-credentials If ...

Hi chorn, Are you still unable to connect? We've just tried connecting to a couple of OpenVPN Cloud/CloudConnexa instances with Viscosity and we were able to connect without issue. It's possible they may have a temporary bug with their client identifier/version parsing, causing client connections to...

Glad to hear.

A verb level of 3 is recommended for production use, and 5+ for debugging. Debug log levels can affect VPN connection performance (especially those higher levels that log every send/receive), so we generally don't recommend their use outside of troubleshooting an issue.

Cheers,

Hi Christian, Can you please post a copy of the details listed in the following article. This will allow us to see what options are being pushed by the server for your connection attempt, and whether there are any local settings that could affect them as well. https://www.sparklabs.com/support/kb/ar...

Hi illusionrelief, A quick fix in this instance will be to change the protocol from "UDP" or "TCP" to "UDP v4" or "TCP v4". This will force the use of IPv4 in both instances. Viscosity will cache remote IPs, however these should be reset when the connection en...

Hi kcnz, I'm afraid it's highly unlikely we'll support Amazon's custom changes. I know a lot of users would like to see support, however as discussed in the article above, they cause reliability issues for VPN connections and break compatibility with all other OpenVPN servers. The OpenVPN core devel...

Hi Sam, Viscosity's installer does not explicitly write its install location key to the registry, however you could pull the location from the Windows software section (which is used by Add/Remove programs). "CC85567E-DC83-4BB5-AD77-D84514C0D059" is the UUID for Viscosity in this area. For...

Hi Myles, You should be able to connect to an out-of-date OpenVPN server, however what you need to change for your connection depends on where it's getting stuck. Between OpenVPN and OpenSSL, many digests, ciphers, compression methods, etc., have been deprecated over the years, however it's still us...

Hi ratness, We plan on making the jump to OpenVPN 2.6 with the switch to OpenSSL 3. Thus far we've been holding off as long as we can as OpenSSL 3 breaks a lot of existing OpenVPN setups (with the deprecation or the removal of many older digests, ciphers, and TLS versions). However with the 1.1.1 br...
